 Hi, I’m Monica Jenkins, the artist behind Ocoee Threads.
My hand-embroidered botanical and tiny landscape jewelry is inspired by a life lived on the water and in the woods. For over 30 years, I’ve been part of the Ocoee River community as a raft guide and rafting company owner, and I’m also a sailor, paddler, and lifelong lover of the outdoors. The wild beauty of Southeast Tennessee — from the Cherokee National Forest to Watts Bar Lake — offers endless inspiration for the delicate details I stitch into each piece.

I began embroidering in 2019 and quickly fell in love with creating one-of-a-kind wearable fiber art. Every design starts as my own pattern, thoughtfully crafted and brought to life with needle and thread. Hand embroidery is my favorite medium, and I am honored to share these tiny works of art with those who share my connection to nature.
